Possibly against my better judgment, I agreed to join a blog-a-thon for the month of May. Michelle Rafter, a fellow freelance writer and member of the writer’s group I belong to, decided to start the blog-a-thon in honor of a big birthday she’s having this month and she asked her colleagues to join her. This involves writing a post every day this month, a task which will be daunting, but challenging, for me.
I figured it’s good practice, good discipline, and who knows what sorts of things I might come up with? This could be very interesting . . .
To check out Michelle’s blog, which is all about freelancing in the digital media age, go to www.michellerafter.wordpress.com. She has some great tips right there on the first page.

I find that many days I have more thoughts than fit in one post, and I also happen to have a chunk of time to write them out (though not as often!). I can kind of “cheat” and change the post date so that they post later if I want. Is that allowed in a blog-a-thon? But who would know, anyway?
