Oh, I really needed to hear that...
it mimics my life so well.... & I was already feeling overwhelmed my all of the new chores the spring and summer brings to my life.... I had just incorporated gardening into my already full schedule including the 20 loads of wash for 6 kids when it was time to open the pool & now I have chemicals, pool cleaning, deck toy orgazinizing (so no one kills themself tripping on a noodle)and the 21st load of wash, towels!!!! But a happy childhoods last a lifetime & a clean house only lasts a few hours (minutes)!!! Thanks for a great perspective & I'm glad you had a nice break....

Right now, I'm sitting here blogging while I've got a sink-full of dishes that need to be washed. Does that answer your question? :-)

Oh, I'm about the same as you -- do what I can when I can. It depends on the day -- yesterday my husband went out with a friend to supper, so I got caught up on some "messy things" that always make the house look worse before it gets better. I let the dishes go (since my husband wasn't home to complain). ;-) This morning, I finished cleaning up what I could (in between reading stories to the kids, who missed getting read to yesterday), and did a few loads of laundry. Oh, and I folded about 3 loads of laundry that had piled up over the wet weekend.
