Maybe you can just sort of schedule huge blocks of time (that's sort of what I'm doing) so you have a general idea of what's going on, i.e., play time, nap time, shopping, outing, etc. Yep, been there, done that! In the hours in between not having to be anywhere, it's more of a free-for-all. This summer Kate will be in summer camp 3 days/week, and Sophia will be in a parents' day out program 2 mornings/week. That will dictate our schedule more or less, but it's easier and looser than the school year and I'm really looking forward to it! When the girls and I have down time, we're generally outside. Our schedule is dictated by outside forces: Sophia’s nap, Kate’s school schedule and ballet lessons, other stuff we have to be at. I like the idea of a laid-back, minimally-scheduled summer. But the fact is that we need the structured activities to keep us all sane. So I'm trying to find a balance.
