My kids like a lot of the music I like too, but we compromise — sometimes we listen to my stuff and sometimes to theirs. One of my very favorite songs, “Supermassive Black Hole” by Muse, has been a kid favorite for the past couple years too.

I can’t believe you’re a Music Machine vet too! Besides my brother-in-law, you’re the only person on the planet that I’ve ever met, outside my family, who has heard it! Very cool.

Last night, Boy #3 had his final gymnastics class and they invited parents to watch. The music was all HSM — and I had a hard time not singing along!

Love that you love Music Machine too. I thought I was the only one who remembered that one.

I’ve listened to my share of Raffi-two CD’s which were mine before I had children, but I did use them in my classroom when I was teaching.

We also love the soundtrack to Annie.

Now my children are starting to like some of our Alternative 80′s (Depeche Mode, Erasure, OMD) and so sometimes I have to take the other stuff out so they can listen to the “grown up” stuff!
