After my last three posts about why I hate my uterus, I think it’s time for something a little lighter.
So I’m doing a giveaway, and of course, like all my giveaways, it’s very cool.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive a box full of Wikki Stix samples shortly before Christmas. If you haven’t heard of Wikki Stix, they’re these clever sticks of yarn covered with wax that you can bend and twist all over the place, no glue required. They’re totally reusable and non-toxic. The best part? There’s no mess to clean up!
Logan has been coveting Wikki Stix for ages as they suit his creative interests very well, so he received the samples for Christmas. All the kids have been enjoying making various creations with them and even their dad got in on it the other day. I have nothing but good to say about Wikki Stix. They’re a great addition to every kid’s activity repertoire. They’re fun, easy to use and encourage imaginative play.
THE PRIZE:
Wikki Stix Alphabet kit, for ages 3 and up. Includes 36 Wikki Stix with six large alphabet cards for learning. I will also be including a bonus surprise in the package, just because I feel like it. I don’t know what it’ll be yet, but I promise, it’ll be good. Or at least interesting. You never know with me. =)

My kids would love it if i won this!! (i have 3; 5 and under!)
Wikki Stix! I had forgotten about these…our girls had some years ago. Hope all is well with you!
Okay, I have been a fan of your blog on Facebook for awhile, and I just added you to my Google Reader. But I don’t use Twitter or Technorati, nor do I have my own blog. But that gives me three entries, right?
Wow, I had forgotten all about these! My sister and I used them a lot growing up, but not as toys. We are visually impaired, very low vision. We used them to make representations of things so we could feel them. This is how we learned letters and numbers, for example. My daughter is very much into letters and writing right now, so she would love them. I will have to look them up! Thanks for a great flashback!
My son’s Kindergarten teacher gave each of the kids 2 Wikki Stix a couple months back. I had never heard of them, but he loves them, and finds all sorts of creative things to do with them. I’m sure he’s love a few more!
I subscribe to you in bloglines.

I am an Occupational Therapist and Wikki stix are amazing to teach kids with as they offer the sensory input which is the way some children learn…
MY GRAND CHILDREN WOULD LOVE THIS.
These are great for plane trips – the sticks “stick” on the windows and trays (they peal right off).
