Logan took awhile to come in after school today. I looked out the window and saw him busily picking dandelions from the backyard.
He arrived at the door about five minutes later with his hand behind his back.
“Here, Mom,” he said, proudly displaying his bouquet. “I got these for you just now because I wanted to make you happy from all your work that you do.”
Aren’t dandelions the best?

Love it! Now you can go pick the leaves from those dandelions and add them to your salad!

I have always liked dandelions, even before having kids that bring them to me. I never understood why people complain about them and call them weeds. They are bright and cheery and happy. and even when they die off, they are still neat to look at (not like roses or daffodils that looks all ugly brown and decayed when they die)
Your dandelion bouquet looks lovely.

Loved this. It reminded me of when my daughter did the same thing. Kids are right. A bouquet for mom always hits the spot.
